A SMALL CRAFT WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT
August 28, 2021
A high-pressure ridge across the Atlantic coupled with a surface trough associated with hurricane Ida over the western Caribbean will influence weather conditions across the region over the next 24 hours.
The forecast is for strong winds and rough seas to affect offshore areas of the north and south coast, especially in the vicinity of showers and thunderstorms.
Fishers and other marine interests are urged to exercise extreme caution as wave heights will exceed nine (9) feet over offshore areas.
